Rest Day |

This week revealed how easily the heart can shift under pressure. You saw David almost act in anger, then later drift in fear. You saw honest wrestling with injustice, comparison, and confusion in the psalms. These were not moments of complete failure, but moments of comparison…where reaction and trust stood side by side.

But, as always, grace was present in every scene. God interrupted, redirected, and realigned. He used people, truth, and His presence to pull hearts back before drift became destruction. Even when choices were imperfect, God remained faithful, continuing His work and guiding His people forward.

You also saw how Jesus stands steady where we often waver. He is not pulled by anger, fear, or comparison. Rest today is not about fixing your reactions…it is about trusting the One who remains unshaken and calls you to follow His lead.

Take time to slow down. Notice where your heart has been pulled in different directions this week, and where God may have already been redirecting you.

Reflection Questions:

Where did you feel the strongest pull toward reaction, fear, or comparison this week?
