Rest Day |
This week held a beautiful contrast between the long story and the present moment. You saw generations listed out, reminding you that God’s work stretches far beyond what you can see right now. At the same time, you stepped into psalms filled with questions, confusion, and longing. Both are true…God is faithfully writing a story over time, and you are living inside a moment that doesn’t always make sense.
Grace showed up in both places! It appeared in the quiet faithfulness across generations, and in the permission to wrestle honestly in the present. God is not threatened by your questions, and He is not absent from your story. He is weaving both together, even when you can’t see how yet.
You also saw how Jesus holds these together perfectly. He steps into the long line of God’s promises and fulfills them, while also stepping into your present reality with compassion and clarity. Rest today is trusting that your current chapter is not disconnected from God’s bigger story.
Reflection Questions:
Where do you feel the tension between trusting God’s long-term faithfulness and questioning your current situation?
How does knowing Jesus is present in both your past story and your present moment change the way you rest and trust Him today?
