Scriptures: Psalm 89, 96, 100–101, 107 |

Psalm 89 begins with confidence in God’s covenant and faithfulness, then wrestles with what feels like delay or contradiction. It is honest about the gap between what God promised and what is currently experienced. Grace shows up even in moments of tension. God allows His people to hold both trust and questions at the same time without forcing an immature answer.

Psalm 96 and 100 lift the focus outward and upward. They call all the earth to worship, to recognize God’s greatness, goodness, and enduring love. Joy is not based on circumstances…it is found in who God is. Psalm 101 brings it inward again, focusing on integrity, leadership, and living in a way that reflects God’s character.

Psalm 107 then tells story after story of rescue. People wander, struggle, rebel, and suffer, but when they cry out, God delivers them. Grace is unmistakable here. No matter the situation, God responds to those who turn back to Him. What ties all of this together is the faithfulness of God in every season…when promises feel clear, when they feel delayed, when joy is strong, and when struggle is real.

Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s covenant, the reason for our worship, the model for our lives, and the source of our rescue. Where Psalm 89 wrestles with promise, Jesus fulfills it.

Challenge Question:

Write down one promise of God you are holding onto, even if it feels delayed, and one area where you have seen His faithfulness recently. Then choose one intentional way this week to worship Jesus in both the waiting and the remembering.
