Rest Day |

This week revealed how God continues to work even when our expectations don’t line up with His best for us. You saw the people ask for a king, God allow it, and still remain present and faithful in the middle of it. Through it all, God did not step back. He stayed engaged, correcting, guiding, and inviting His people forward.

You also saw how Jesus stands apart from every human leader. Where people look for what is visible and familiar, God provides what is faithful and true. Rest today is not about figuring everything out…it is about trusting that God is still at work, even when the path looks different than you imagined.

Take time to slow down and think. Notice where your expectations may have informed how you see God’s work, and where He may be asking you to trust Him more. Let this be a day of releasing control and renewing confidence in His leadership.

Reflection Questions:

Where have your expectations of God been challenged this week?

How does trusting Jesus as your King change the way you respond when life unfolds differently than you planned?
