Scriptures: Isaiah 23-26 |

These chapters move from the fall of earthly powers to the certainty of God’s eternal kingdom. Isaiah 23 speaks against Tyre, a wealthy and influential city whose identity was built on commerce, success, and prosperity. Like the other nations before it, Tyre seemed secure because of its accomplishments. Yet God reminds His people that even the strongest economies and most successful systems are temporary. God exposes the limits of what the world values so we can place our trust in what truly lasts.

As the vision continues in chapters 24–26, the focus widens from individual nations to the whole earth. Human pride, rebellion, and brokenness have affected everything, but even here judgment is not the end of the story. Isaiah begins describing a future where God reigns openly, death is defeated, and His people rejoice in His salvation. Even in the midst of warnings, God continually points beyond judgment toward restoration.

One of the most beautiful promises comes in Isaiah 26: “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.” Peace is not the absence of trouble, but the result of trusting God in the middle of it! Grace is found in security. While the world remains unstable, God offers a peace that flows from His unchanging character.

Jesus is the fulfillment of Isaiah’s vision. He is the King who conquers death, establishes lasting peace, and brings salvation to His people. Where earthly kingdoms fade, Christ’s kingdom endures forever.

Challenge Question:
Write down one thing that has been stealing your peace recently. Then write down one truth you know about Jesus that speaks directly to that situation. Spend time this week intentionally fixing your thoughts on Him and asking Him to replace anxiety with trust and peace.
