Rest Day |
This week was filled with reminders of who God is. Through Hezekiah’s story and Isaiah’s promises, you saw a God who delivers, comforts, strengthens, carries, and redeems. Again and again, the focus shifted away from human weakness and toward God’s greatness.
Grace showed up in both power and tenderness. God defeated armies that no one thought could be defeated, but He also spoke comfort to weary hearts. He revealed Himself as the Creator who holds the stars in place and the Shepherd who gently cares for His people. The same God who rules over history also knows His people by name.
You also saw how Jesus stands at the center of these promises. He is the Servant who brings light to the nations, the Redeemer who calls us His own, and the Shepherd who walks with us through deep waters and difficult seasons. What Isaiah anticipated, Jesus fulfills.
Rest today by remembering that your security does not come from your strength, your plans, or your circumstances. It comes from belonging to Christ. Before you are a worker, leader, parent, friend, or anything else…you are His.
Reflection Questions:
Which promise from this week’s readings encouraged you the most, and why?
What would change in your outlook this week if you truly lived from the confidence that God knows you, loves you, and calls you His own?
