Scriptures: Psalm 111–118 |

These psalms rise like a chorus…layer upon layer of praise and declaration! Psalm 111–112 center everything in God’s character…His works are trustworthy, His ways are just, and those who walk with Him are consistent. Grace shows up in remembrance. When we recall what God has done, it stabilizes how we live right now.

In Psalms 113–118 God is lifted high above everything, but He stoops how to care for the overlooked. He raises the poor, remembers the forgotten, and rescues those who call on Him. Over and over, the reading echoes…“His faithful love endures forever.” God’s love is not selective or reactive…it is constant, enduring through every situation.

There is also a shift toward personal declaration. “The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.” This is not denial of difficulty…instead, it’s defiance in the face of it. By Psalm 118, praise becomes bold and confident. Even rejection and hardship are reframed…“The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.” Grace is found in reversal. God has a way of taking what seems discarded and making it foundational.

All of this points clearly to Jesus. He is the cornerstone spoken of, the one rejected yet raised, the embodiment of God’s enduring love. Where these psalms celebrate rescue and faithfulness, Jesus fulfills them completely.

Challenge Question:
Write down one way you’ve seen God’s faithfulness in the past, and one situation where you need confidence right now. Then make it a point to declare truth over that situation, reminding yourself that Jesus is your cornerstone and your help.
