Scriptures: Exodus 25–28 |

These chapters slow the story down again, shifting from rescue and law to something that’s pretty relational. God gives detailed instructions for the tabernacle, the place where His presence will dwell among the people! Every measurement, material, and design choice is highly intentional. God wants to be close to his people! Grace shows up in God’s desire to live with His people. The Holy God chooses to dwell in the middle of a redeemed but imperfect community.

Exodus 26 and 27 reinforce that access to God is both a gift and something sacred. There are boundaries, layers, and rhythms that protect the relationship God’s people have gained. Then Exodus 28 focuses on the priesthood. The garments are designed for beauty and dignity, reminding us that those who represent God are meant to reflect His holiness and care. Grace is woven into the system itself because God provides a way for people to approach Him without fear.

God builds a dwelling place knowing failure is coming. His commitment to be present does not depend on perfect obedience, and we know that grace moves ahead of human weakness, making room for ongoing relationship. How amazing is it to know that Jesus becomes the true dwelling place of God with humanity? Where the tabernacle symbolized God’s presence, Jesus embodies it fully. He is our great High Priest, clothed not in ornate garments, but in humility and obedience to the Father.

Challenge Question:

Knowing God’s desire to dwell with His people, and knowing His Holy Spirit lives within you gives you so much access to the Father! What do you need to ask God for today?
