Scriptures: Leviticus 5–7 |

Leviticus 5-7 continues unfolding how God makes room for broken people to remain close to Him. These chapters deal with guilt, restitution, and responsibility. Sin is not treated casually, but thankfully it also isn’t treated as disqualifying. Grace shows up in God’s desire for restoration, not just forgiveness. When harm has been done, God invites His people to make things right, not to earn grace (you can’t), but to live in the freedom it provides.

What stands out is how practical this is, even for today. Confession is specific. Accountability is personal. Repair is tangible. God is not interested in some vague remorse or us feeling bad about what we did…He cares about healed relationships and integrity in everyday life. Grace does not bypass consequences…those are unavoidable. But grace does redeem them. God teaches His people that both forgiveness and responsibility belong together.

The peace offering becomes a shared meal, celebrating restored relationship with God and others. Grace is not only about being forgiven…it is about being brought back into fellowship. God desires joy and communion, not endless guilt.

Jesus not only forgives sin…He restores what sin has broken. He covers guilt, reconciles relationships, and invites us to the table. Grace is not a loophole…it is a pathway back to wholeness through Christ.

Challenge Question:

Write down one relationship, habit, or situation where restoration is needed. Identify one practical step you can take this week to pursue reconciliation or integrity, trusting that Jesus has already secured forgiveness and grace for the process.
