Rest Day |

This week slowed things down and asked deeper questions. You walked through Ecclesiastes and felt the pressure of life under the sun…the uncertainty and the longing for meaning that temporary things can never fully satisfy. It was honest, reflective, and at times almost haunting, like trying to catch smoke with your hands.

Grace showed up in that honesty. God doesn’t shame the questions…He met them. The emptiness of endless striving became a chance to stop looking for eternal fulfillment in temporary places. You were reminded that meaning is not something you manufacture through success, control, or accumulation…it is something received in relationship with God.

You also saw how Jesus fulfills what Ecclesiastes leaves unresolved. He steps into the ache of human life and offers something lasting…purpose, presence, and eternal hope. Rest today means letting go of the pressure to make everything meaningful on your own and trusting that your deepest purpose is already found in Him.

Take time to slow down and enjoy simple gifts today…rest, conversation, food, laughter, and quiet. Let gratitude replace work for a moment.

Reflection Questions:

Where have you been chasing fulfillment in ways that still leave you empty?

How can you intentionally receive today as a gift from Jesus instead of something you have to control or maximize?
