Rest Day |
You saw God move in dramatic power through Elijah, but you also saw God meet a weary prophet quietly in the wilderness. The same God who answered with fire on Mount Carmel also provided food, rest, and gentle presence under a lonely tree.
Grace showed up in both places. Sometimes God reveals Himself through breakthrough and unmistakable moments. Other times He meets us softly, patiently restoring us when we are exhausted, discouraged, or running on empty. You were reminded that spiritual strength does not mean you never feel tired…it means learning to keep returning to God honestly in every condition.
You also saw how Jesus reflects this perfectly. He carries authority and power, but still welcomes the weary and burdened close to Himself. Rest today is not about earning recovery…it is about receiving it from the One who knows exactly what you need.
Reflection Questions:
Where have you been running on empty lately, even if outwardly things look fine?
How can you intentionally create space to receive the rest God promises instead of only pushing toward the next task or challenge?
