Rest Day |

This week we watched Jesus step fully into His public ministry. He faced temptation without compromising, called ordinary people to follow Him, healed the sick, confronted evil, forgave sinners, and welcomed people others avoided. Everywhere Jesus went, the Kingdom of God began pushing back against what sin had broken.

Grace is found in how personally Jesus meets people. Nicodemus needed new birth. The Samaritan woman needed living water. A paralyzed man needed forgiveness and healing. Fishermen needed purpose. Outcasts needed someone willing to come close. Jesus never treats people as categories…He sees them, knows what they truly need, and leads them into something new.

But beneath all the miracles is a deeper opportunity from Jesus: “follow Me”. Jesus came to transform their lives. The question running through these stories is becoming increasingly personal. What happens when Jesus steps into our ordinary lives and asks us to trust Him enough to follow?

Reflection Questions:

Which encounter with Jesus from this week's readings has stayed with you most, and why?

Where is following Jesus currently asking for more than simply believing the right things?
